His name is Yan. This boy was lucky to be born in good conditions in Lviv, thanks to our patronage service.
Yan’s father is a combatant and a veteran of the Ukrainian Army. He and his pregnant wife lived in a rented apartment in Kyiv with a total monthly income of 550 USD (the standard salary of a rear serviceman).

Such income is not enough for a proper life for the family, nor for medical support during pregnancy, nor for the birth itself. So our patronage service ensured the transfer of the defender’s wife in the late stages of pregnancy to her hometown Lviv. We provided medical support on the way and appropriate medical supervision on site. Later, we covered all expenses for childbirth, provided the family with diapers, baby food, and vitamins for the mother.
The total amount of assistance was 100,000 UAH. But the greatest value of this story is not money, but caring for the family of our defender and his morale. After all, the feeling of support and the confidence that you are not alone in difficult times contributes to motivation and efficiency.
Ukrainian soldiers deserve for their children to be born and live in decent conditions. So while the state cannot cover all needs, we take on this responsibility.
